Double Eleven Joins TIGA

TIGA today announced Double Eleven Limited as its newest member. Double Eleven is a hand-held and mobile game developer based in the heart of Middlesbrough’s ‘Digital City’. The company was founded in 2010 by ex-R* Leeds employees Lee Hutchinson and Matt Shepcar. The company is currently working on high profile, yet to be announced, titles for Sony Computer Entertainment Europe.

Lee Hutchinson, Co-Founder of Double Eleven, explained the company’s vision: “At Double Eleven we pride ourselves on being a highly technical and innovative games studio. We hire only the best of the best and it is our mission to develop the most entertaining and compelling games for digital and handheld platforms by pushing technology and creativity to their limits.”

On joining TIGA, Hutchinson said: “We are proud to be a part of the UK games industry but a lot of companies are going through difficult times at the moment. We respect the work of TIGA in supporting the industry and are joining to add our support also.”

Dr Richard Wilson, TIGA CEO stated: “Everyone who works at Double Eleven is highly experienced, having worked in the industry for an average of ten years. The studio is bursting with creativity and drive. I am extremely pleased to welcome Double Eleven to the TIGA family.”
